Pregnant Duchess Kate dons hoodie for evening with Scouts

The Duchess of Cambridge, née Kate Middleton, visited a newly-formed Scout group on Tuesday evening and kept her outfit casual, wearing black skinny jeans with a black zip-up hooded sweatshirt that featured the Scouting UK logo and knee-high boots, along with the traditional scarf and woggle.The pregnant royal, who is a regular volunteer with the organisation, spent time with the youngsters as they learned sign language and baking skills.

The Duchess spent the evening with the Beaver group, which is made up of young children aged six to eight, learning the Scout Promise in sign language alongside the children.

Sitting at a table with youngsters, Kate, who is expecting her second child with Prince William in April, laughed her way through a task which involved worked with a young boy as the pair helped each other ice a cake blindfolded, before cutting up chocolate whilst wearing with boxing gloves.

During her visit Kate joined the Beavers as they completed tasks to achieve their Disability Awareness badge, and handed out the badges to the successful children.

Kate announced in January 2013 that she had become one of the growing members of flexible volunteers who, because of other commitments, help when they can rather than every session. Her announcement lead to a record increase in membership, with the numbers rising by more than 11,500.

In March last year Kate revealed her impressive skills at breadmaking when she joined a Scout group for an adventure-filled day in the Lake District, before attending the National Review of Queen's Scouts at Windsor Castle less than a month later. Kate has had a busy run up to Christmas following her official visit to New York with husband Prince William earlier this month. However the royal has still found time to ensure 16-month-old Prince George enjoys the Christmas festivities as they enjoyed a day out at Winter Wonderland together. "They spent an hour together in Santa Land, enjoying a ride on the teacup ride, and looked like they were having a fantastic time," an onlooker revealed exclusively to HELLO! magazine
