Sofia Hellqvist's royal title revealed

Sofia Hellqvist will be known as HRH Princess Sofia, Duchess of Värmland upon her marriage to Prince Carl Philip of Sweden next month. An official announcement made by the Swedish royal family on Sunday confirmed that when she ties the knot with Carl Philip on 13 June, 30-year-old Sofia will officially become a princess of Sweden.News of Sofia's royal title came on the same day that she stepped out with her future husband for their wedding bann ceremony in Stockholm.The bride-to-be, who sported a chic cream jacket and matching skirt teamed with nude court shoes and a black hat, couldn't stop smiling as entered the capital city's Royal Chapel with her fiancé.

Sofia's future in-laws were out in force to support the happy couple.Carl Philip's mother and father King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden looked delighted as they arrived for the service.Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel were in attendance with their daughter Princess Estelle. Victoria, 37, wore an elegant ice blue dress and a matching flower-adorned hat and walked hand-in-hand with three-year-old Estelle.

Mum-to-be Princess Madeleine, who may be forced to miss Carl Philip and Sofia's nuptials as she is due to give birth around the time of the big day itself, attended the ceremony with her husband Chris O'Neill.The pregnant princess, who carried her one-year-old daughter Leonore into the church, looked pretty in a taupe coat and an elaborate ribbon-themed fascinator.Representing Sofia's family were her parents Erik and Marie Hellqvist and her two sisters Sara and Lina Hellqvist, the latter of whom attended with her boyfriend Jonas Frejd.

Pregnant Princess Madeleine with Princess Leonore

Carl Philip and Sofia's wedding weekend will kick off on Friday 12 June with a special dinner planned for select attendees.The couple will officially be pronounced man and wife in a ceremony on Saturday at the palace's royal chapel – the same venue where Carl Philip's younger sister Madeleine celebrated her nuptials.
