When royal watchers saw photographs of Prince George taking in the stunning display of his first ever Trooping the Colour from one of the windows of Buckingham Palace, many would have been reminded of the adorable tot's Uncle, Prince Harry, when he attended the ceremony as a toddler.

A playful George can be seen standing against the window while sticking out his tongue excitedly on Saturday 13 June, at the official celebrations of the Queen's 89th birthday.

Snaps of Prince Harry back on 11 June 1988, meanwhile, show the cute royal at three years out similarly sticking his tongue out, as he's held in his late mother Princess Diana's arms.

This year's Trooping the Colour marks George's first ever - last year he was just 11 months old - and his mum the Duchess of Cambridge's first public appearance since the birth of Princess Charlotte on 2 May.

Later, George joined his parents and the rest of the royal family for the first time on the palace's balcony to watch an RAF flypast. At six weeks old, baby Charlotte naturally stayed out of the limelight for the annual ceremony.
