Revealed: Who will be performing at the Queen's 90th birthday

An incredible array of stars have been confirmed to join the Queen's 90th birthday celebrations in the grounds of Windsor Castle in May. Katherine Jenkins, Kylie Minogue and Jess Glynne are among the eclectic mix of performers set to participate in the event, which will be hosted by Ant and Dec, and broadcast live by ITV.

More than 900 horses and 1500 participants will join the celebrations, which will tell the story of the Queen's life from her birth in 1926 to her coronation and reign spanning more than 60 years.

The line-up for the Queen's 90th birthday celebrations has been announced

Joining the line-up are Andrea Bocelli, Alfie Boe, James Blunt and Beverley Knight. A number of actors will also take to the stage, including Star Wars leading man John Boyega, Jim Carter, Martin Clunes, Damian Lewis, Dame Helen Mirren and Jennifer Saunders.

Guests will also be treated to performances in the arena from acts including The King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery, the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment and the Royal Cavalry of the Sultanate of Oman.

The evening will cap off four nights of performances in the grounds of Windsor Castle, which will be attended by members of the royal family.

Speaking about their involvement in the event, Ant and Dec said: "We are honoured to be hosting this special celebration of Her Majesty the Queen's 90th Birthday. This spectacular evening will bring together some of the best known names in the entertainment world who will perform with 900 horses and 1500 participants to mark this very special birthday."

The event is just one of many celebrations planned to mark the Queen's 90th birthday. The monarch, who reaches the milestone age on 21 April, will spend the day carrying out two public engagements in Windsor with the Duke of Edinburgh.

After officially opening The Queen's Walkway in the town, the royal couple will greet well-wishers on a walkabout, before participating in a beacon lighting ceremony with Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall on Thursday evening.
