Princess Eugenie enjoys day at the races with her mum

hellomagazine.com

Princess Eugenie accompanied her mum, Sarah, Duchess of York, to the races at Ascot for King George VI Weekend, and the pair looked like they were having a wonderful day together as they cheered from the trackside and chatted together.

Princess Eugenie looked elegant yet casual on the warm summer's day in a white A-line dress with black laced lining, and left her short brunette locks loose while donning a pair of orange sunglasses, while Sarah looked demure and stylish in a monochrome dress and a matching black fascinator with her auburn hair pulled up into a half-bun as she enjoyed the day out with her daughter.

The mother and daughter enjoyed a day at Ascot together

The mother and daughter, along with Sarah's eldest daughter Princess Beatrice, have been spending plenty of time together recently as they attended a black tie concert for James Wentworth-Stanley Memorial Fund at the end of June, which was created after James Wentworth-Stanley sadly took his life at the age of 21 in 2006.

Speaking to HELLO!, Sarah revealed why the event meant so much to herself and her two daughters. She said: "I have been involved in charitable endeavours for over thirty years now and have seen many tragic and miraculous things in that time. In thinking about what has had the biggest effect on me are those incidents that have hit close to home, and nothing could have been closer than James Wentworth-Stanley.

"He was family - very dear to my daughters and me - and nobody saw this coming and this is why the Wintershall concert is so important. The funds raised go directly to aid us being able to support those who aren't able to ask for help. We must learn more and be able to spot the warning signs, no matter how subtle, in order to save precious lives; lives that are taken from us all too soon."
