Princess Eugenie has helped raised £400,000 for charity after attending the Charge II, a black tie gala and boxing event which aims to raise awareness and funds against elephant and rhinoceros poaching. As a committee member for the charity, the Princess was instrumental in making the evening, which took place at the Royal Horticultural Society Halls, a success.

The special event was designed to raise funds and awareness around elephant and rhinoceros across the African continent, and supported five charities including Conservation Lower Zambezi, Peace Parks Foundation, Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, George Adamson Preservation Trust & Wilderness Foundation. The royal was accompanied by guests including Jamie Redknapp, Wladimir Klitschko and Chris Eubank Jr, and supported a charity auction in which Wladimir's 'magic' robe raised £160,000 in aid of the Klitschko Foundation. The guests were also treated to three boxing matches after dinner, which consisted of ginger poached lobster, best end of lamb and chocolate delice.

Princess Eugenie regularly supports charity events, and recently attended the teenager cancer unit at Alder Hey Children's Hospital in Liverpool with her mother, the Duchess of York. Speaking about her experience, she said: "I think it's so important to come here and learn. To come and experience that from as a teenager, when I was 18, but also to hear all the amazing things these units have done for teenagers and for the way you have outlook on your diagnoses." The Duchess spoke to the patients and parents at the event saying: "Young adults, or sufferers from teenage cancer, it was you all who taught me so much. You taught me forgiveness, you taught me kindness, you taught me never to give up, courage in facing adversity."
