Prince William and Prince George’s 11 cutest moments

After he and Kate emerged from the hospital with Prince George in his mother's arms, it was William’s turn to gingerly hold his newborn in public for the first time.

Stricken with awe, Prince William cradled the baby while cooing and blowing kisses down at the teeny prince.

Bringing a newborn home for the first time is anxiety inducing for most parents, but Prince William was cool, calm and collected after the birth of his son. In particular, he was adamant about putting George in the car seat on his own. “I think driving your son and your wife away from the hospital was really important to me," he said. "I don’t like fuss, so it’s much easier to do it yourself."

It was a serious, ceremonial occasion, but even Prince William could hardly hold back a grin as he proudly held Prince George — wearing a magnificent Honiton lace gown — at his christening.

Where George was all too pleased to receive the gift of a giant stuffed teddy bear in New Zealand, William was visibly thrilled to witness his son's glee.

All dressed up: Father and son coordinated their dapper ensembles while flashing an identical, cheeky look to the cameras.

Wee! In his sailor-print onesie, George looks ready for an adventure in the Outback. Luckily, dad has a firm grip on the wriggling tot.

In a spontaneous display of affection, the Duke of Cambridge planted a big kiss on his baby prince while on tour Down Under.
