Lady Kitty Spencer shares luxe Australian travel diary

Lady Kitty Spencer headed Down Under earlier this month to attend a number of engagements, including the Emirates Melbourne Cup. Her trip wasn’t all work and no play, as shown by the album of stunning photographs she posted on social media. The 24-year-old niece of the late Princess Diana received some “koala kisses” at the Healesville Sanctuary, toured Sydney harbour and jetted off on a three-day escape to Orpheus Island, a secluded hideaway on the Great Barrier Reef.

Kitty is the eldest daughter of Charles Spencer, 9th Earl Spencer, and his first wife, Victoria Aitken, néeLockwood. She grew up with her mother in South Africa and it wasn’t until Princess Diana’s tragic death in 1997 that she really stepped into the media spotlight. Since then, the University of Cape Town alum has been more involved with her famous relatives and attended Prince William’s wedding to Kate Middleton in 2011. Her profile has been on the rise in the past few years as she is a familiar face at exclusive parties and events all over the U.K.

At this year’s Melbourne Cup, the beautiful blond arrived in true royal style by helicopter and embraced local fashion in a fitted dress by renowned Australian designer Alex Perry. Lady Kitty topped off her look with a sparkling fascinator by London milliner Stephen Jones.
