Oprah, Reese Witherspoon and Mindy Kaling's New Zealand trip is giving us major wanderlust

Reese Witherspoon, Oprah and Mindy Kaling have been giving their fans serious holiday envy as they enjoy a fun-filled road trip in New Zealand!

The trio have been sharing a series of snaps from their adventures and giving their social media followers a sneak peek of their antics. So far, their glamorous getaway has included a trip to Lake Hawea near Wanaka – where they are staying – as well as seeing local wildlife, sipping on wine in a hot tub and goofing around as they take in the breathtaking scenery.

It's not all fun and games for the actresses, who have travelled to New Zealand to film the upcoming Disney film A Wrinkle in Time. Oprah will play Mrs. Which, Reese Mrs. Whatsit and Mindy Mrs. Who in the highly-anticipated film, which also stars 13-year-old Storm Reid, Chris Pine and Gugu Mbatha-Raw.

"Couldn't be more excited to discover #NewZealand with this lady!!! @mindykaling," Reese captioned one quirky photo as she and close friend Mindy Kaling celebrated their arrival by jumping and pulling excited faces with Lake Hawea providing a stunning backdrop.

Mindy also shared a snap from the girls' fun afternoon, revealing they had explored Mount Creighton on South Island.

While the stars are technically out in New Zealand for work, they have had time for the occasional night out! "Ladies night in #NZ #GNO," Reese wrote alongside a sweet selfie of herself and Mindy with makeup artists Cindy Williams and Molly Stern.

<em>Legally Blonde</em> star Reese made the most of a break from filming and went for a stroll to take in the incredible views of mountain range The Remarkables.

The trio had a fun-filled Valentine's Day on set, sharing a sweet group photo as they prepared for another busy day of filming. "Hangin' with @reesewitherspoon, @mindykaling the Mrs's from Wrinkle in Time, sending [heart emoji] your way Valentines. #happyvalentinesday."

Mindy and makeup artist Cindy made the most of the beautiful scenery and lush weather as they enjoyed a glass of wine while relaxing in a hot tub at the end of a long day.
