Calista Flockhart has been a constant presence by husband Harrison Ford's bedside ever since he was rushed to hospital following his airplane crash last week. "Calista spent most of the weekend by Harrison's side," a source confirmed to People. "She arrived early every morning and returned home late every night. She was under stress." The actress' devotion to her husband of four years comes as no surprise to those who know the couple. Harrison and Calista have one of the strongest marriages in Hollywood, and prefer to shun the spotlight to focus on family time with their 14-year-old son Liam.

Calista, 50, and Harrison, 72, have been together since meeting at the Golden Globes in January 2002. They became engaged on Valentine's Day in 2009, and were married the following June in Sante Fe. "They are very playful with each other," an industry insider told the US publication. "And they often seem to operate a bit in their own world together." They also seem to bring out the best in each other. Calista, once a nervous flyer, now shares Harrison's passion for aviation. "Calista loves to fly, and I'm thrilled because it's so important to me and it's the kind of thing that's so much more fun with somebody who really enjoys it," Harrison told People in 2003. "Calista likes the process, she likes what she sees from the air, she likes seeing me happy. I think a lot of it has to do with that she loves to see me doing something that I love."

Harrison is on the road to a full recovery following his plane crash on 5 March. His son Ben, from his marriage to his first wife Mary Marquardt, reassured fans that his father was "on the mend" a few days after the accident. "We want to thanks you all for your concern," Ben, a chef, said in a Twitter update. "Dad has the best care possible, on the mend and of strong mind, body & spirit."
