Rock veterans David and Lou attend 'Fountain' screening

Rachel Weisz' latest movie tells the story of a man who discovers the secret to eternal life. So it was especially fitting that some of the showbiz industry's most enduring stars turned out for a special screening of The Fountain in New York this week.

British singer David Bowie and his model wife Iman were both at the glitzy event, as was veteran American rocker Lou Reed. The three iconic talents had gone along to congratulate Rachel and her Australian co-star Hugh Jackman on their much-talked-about film.

In the flick, which was directed by Rachel's fiancé Darren Aronofsky, they play a pair of star-crossed lovers whose romance spans over 1,000 years. The pretty actress confessed to feeling a little funny when her own husband-to-be ordered her to tear off another man's trousers, though.

"We were doing the love scene, carrying on, and it was the first time I'd done it, so I didn't take Hugh's pants off," revealed the Oscar winner. "Darren was like, 'Take his pants off!'. He got really annoyed that I wasn't following the logic of the scene."

The New York native clearly isn't prone to jealousy, as he wasn't the least bit concerned about his fiancée getting up close and personal with the X-Men hunk. "I'll tell you, I've got a much better body than Hugh Jackman," joked the filmmaker. "I was never concerned she would feel anything she hasn't already experienced in a better form."
